use to leave messages on the board at the EAS site, but that got so complicated

and difficult to read through that I just gave up. Anyway...I'm in my second

challenge and I need some support here! I've got several friends who are doing

this but most are guys and losing fat percentage at rates that I'll never do.

Any females out there who can offer encouragement?

Donna, this is great!!! You're going to have a great year with Maddie. BTW,

how long is the commute for Maddie? Rochelle has a looooooong commute on bus

but doesn't seem to mind so far. It's about 50 minutes one way. The bus

driver keeps a lost n found box and we keep barney and babybop in there. They

have been giving it to her on the bus.

Diane,

Yea, Maddie's is the same. She gets picked up by a cab driver, so

there's no stops for her. She also enjoys the ride. We always send her

with a *transition* object which tends to be whatever she grabs onto that

morning after her bath.....typically it ends up being a beany baby, or fluffy

key chain, or anything that she can dangle. Course, the kid is capable of

dangling almost anything!!! LOL She used to like to take her ball with

her, but the cab driver asked me to please leave it home as he was getting a

headache with her *dribbling* it against the front/back seat

separator......LOLOLOL

That is so funny! Sounds like this is one of Maddie's gifts. Both my children

our challenged in the ball dribbling area. Actually Mom might be too! lolol

I have no idea about Dad. Not much of a sports fan. Although he is in great

shape. smile.

My son is playing Christmas music. Already made his list. What do you all do

if your child asks for a toy that is not age appropriate? It is actually a

toy for a toddler (truck) (read really big) and he is eight going on nine in

February. Should I just say no now. I don't have any typical kids and I don't

know what I should do. He still likes Winnie the Pooh.

Hey Diane, believe me, Maddie didn't get her dribbling skills from her

mother...LOL As far as purchasing a truck for your son, I say go for it.

All kids are different. My one daughter stopped playing with dolls around

8, Allie at 10 still pulls them out now and then. My 21 year old was MR.

COOL with his buddies, but would play with little muscle men up in his

bedroom til he was 12!! And n is almost 17 and still kisses me every

time he goes in or out the door, and calls me Mommy, even in front of his

friends and at his all-boy school. I think it's charming!!!

Hope he has fun with the truck!!!!!!!

Donna

P.S. BTW, I watched cartoons every morning before I went to work...up

until I got married at 20......still love to take in a good Bugs Bunny or

Pepe Lepew (my fave) toon.....LOL

Diane....my vote is that having a big truck to play with at any age is fun!

my grandson, who is gifted, (what's typical??)....has two younger brothers,

ages 5 and 6....at age 11 now, I have watched him play with cars and trucks,

tanks, airplanes, etc,...that is not 'age appropriate'....and it hasnt harmed

him in the least. one of the toys he wants for christmas this year is a

plane that is modeled for a 6 year old...who puts these ages on toys,

anyway??? my brother in law plays with model airplanes, is a member of a

club, they all are in their adult years, and even LOOK like a bunch of kids

out there! let your boys be boys, i always say!.....they never grow up

anyway. LOL!!! and if we are luckey, we will join them in play! :D by the

way, my eleven year old grandson is in his fifth year in piano, is in the

sixth grade, but passing into a 10th grade education. they told his parents

to hold him back a year. why??? LOL! like i said, what's typical? none of

us have a promise of tomorrow. enjoy the day we have, the NOW! think i'll

go play...oh, yeah, and my son, Montyman, who is 20.......loves toys on a 3

year old level. he is cause and effect...guess that's the autism.

donna, montyman's mom.....grandmom to 7 perfect children!

mom to 5 great kids

p.s. I LOVE WINNIE THE POO TOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
