I couldn't agree with you more about having to take one medication to cover the affects of another. As an RN and having a son who's very ill with his asthma I see it to often! So many people have emailed me offline and told me how they " cured " their Asthma with nutrition. While that might make a huge difference in some people, it does not work for all! There is a huge difference between having an intolerance to something vs having an allergic reaction! And I think the degrees of which is present vary greatly amongst each individual! I wish there were a " cure " for asthma. As a mother, it kills me to see my 11 yr old son barely able to walk up a short flight of steps without stopping to catch his breath! We have tried many homeopathic medications in the past. And truthfully they worked for quite a while until he developed an intolerance to them. I think for my son, who has true allergic responses to many things causing his astma, the best thing for him is to make him insensitive to those allergens! By doing so, I have an appt at the Allergy Associates of LaCrosse in hopes to be able to desensitize him to the allergens! This isnt done in the way of shots, its a sublingual form put under the tongue in such small amts over a period of time. Right now, its our only hope! The fight to get him on Xolair is exhausting. And it looks like it may be another three months before that will even happen Anyway, I dont post to often here but read every post. I feel for those having such difficulties right now and wish for all that there was an easier way " out " ! And for those having such great success..I thank you for sharing your stories. It does give me hope!!! Ginger ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
Guest guest
good question. saw dr b the other day and he thinks it might pay to spread out the dose over the day with 2 doses instead of spiking with one big one, though even dr b is in the dark. if you are not being overwhelmed by the abx and picc, it probably would do to hang in for the xtra time though its very likely that your infections are developing resistance as you continue. good luck mike in ny hoogroups.com, timetoscrap <timetoscrap@...> wrote: > > I've had a picc line in for 5 months with 2grams of Ceftriaxone. Guest guest
Oh! I forgot to add to my long reply earlier that I am taking the IV Cef in the morning and the Zithromax in the afternoon. THanks again for the imput! I soooo appreciate Dr. B's thoughts!!!! THe picc line is still in and going to talk to my LLMD more tomorrow about maybe still continuing. After hearing your guys thoughts here, I'm still wondering if taking a little time off and then hitting my body again with IV meds would be a good idea so that the Lyme won't become immune to the abx. This is so hard!
