Researchers at the University of Dundee have discovered that defects on a certain gene that causes allergic eczema can drastically affect day-to-day management of asthma in millions of children and adults. Here's the link if you want to read about it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I am printing this baby out and bringing to all my Docs. I have moderate asthma, but severe, recalcitrant eczema. Kinda been a recluse for 8 years. Good news, my PCP Doc has agreed to start me on Xolair. Yeah, I know it should be a Pul Doc or Allergist, but they won't prescribe it b/c my IgE's are too high. I understand, but c'mon. There are patients on Xolair for Jobs, other allergies, etc. I need relief. Just like most here, it's difficult to go on sometimes. OK. Enough boo-hooing. Thanks for the info.!
