Don't know that this will exactly make any of us feel any better physically, but

intellectually I like to know as much as I can. Researchers at the University

of Dundee have discovered that defects on a certain gene that causes allergic

eczema can drastically affect day-to-day management of asthma in millions of

children and adults. Here's the link if you want to read about it. At least we

can tell our doctors (and families) that there really is a good reason why some

of us have more severe difficulty controlling the disease than others.
