Guest guest
I can't believe I never thought to tell everyone here before, but anyone (you, your doc, your spouse or friend) can report serious symptoms that appear while on Xolair (or any other drug) to the FDA. It doesn't matter that you don't know for sure that the symptom(s) are caused by Xolair, only that they appeared while on the medication. The FDA reviews all such reports and determines whether further investigation of the drug is warranted. If so, the FDA requires the manufacturer to conduct formal studies. This is the only way the FDA can track medication problems independent of the manufacturers themselves. Go to http://www.fda.gov/medwatch/feedback.htm and you'll see that you can report online or by phone at an 800 number. Even if you're not ready to make a report, you can call and ask if the FDA has received reports of similar symptoms. I really encourage everyone who is having serious symptoms associated with Xolair to go ahead and do this. The details of your identity are kept private by the FDA, so you don't have to worry about that. Fran
