Guest guest
Has anyone else (particularly women in their mid- to late-40s experienced a weight gain since beginning Xolair? I have gained about 15 lbs. since I began my injections in June 2007. I've had the most amount of stress at home I've ever endured in my life before, so I know that could be the chief contributor. Just curious. Any replies are appreciated. Jackie

I believe it was because I was not on " Evil Candy " anymore. Doug Group founder On Xolair since 2003
Guest guest
I have not, but the logic is on how Xolair is presribed is that you might have to go up on doseage with weight gain. The drug is prescribed according to IgE levels and body mass. If I were where I was one year and one-half ago, I would be on a smaller dose. I was 148 and IgE level of 252. Now I am 164 and IgE of 354. But, I would assume if your doctor is like mine he/she will keep you at the same dose to track how you do. > > > > The standards for using Xolair is IgE that is greater than 30 and > > less then 700.
