Guest guest
HI Martha, I also became very ill in the gastro area in my last big flare. I do have h.pylori but this attack was different and I do feel the RA flare had something to do with the severity of it as this was my worst case of a flare ever. I am taking prevacid which helps but I still have a yucky taste in my mouth all the time. I was surprised when I read the fairlady's story at rheumatic which she described the same taste distortion. I will most likely have an endoscope done in the next month if my taste doesn't straighten out. Hope you will feel better soon. Guest guest
Martha, Since you don't want to have an endoscopy done, why not ask your doctor to prescribe prilosec or prevacid and see if your symptoms go away. I was having bad gastric reflux symptoms and the prilosec takes care of it for me. I did not have an endoscopy done as my doctor knows that gastric reflux is part of my disease. Hope this might help. Love, Judy ---------- From: And Martha <gmsmith@...> rheumaticonelist Subject: rheumatic chest pains Date: Sunday, December 12, 1999 9:12 AM I went to the E.R. on Friday evenin with chest pains. I had discomfort for a few days. I was having achy (much like a toothache), pressured, hurting/bruising type feeling in the chest area and over my left breast and in the middle of my chest.. The doctors think it has something to do with my esophagus or gastric rather than the heart. However, I really do not know.. The only way to check this is to have an endoscopy performed. I don't want that right now. I have so many other things medically and still trying to work, that I can't take the test right now.. Guest guest
, Pearl, I have had intermittent chest pain as long as I've had palpitations; about 12 years. They are pretty infrequent, which is a good thing, and I have no idea what brings them on. The pains are usually not with palpitations, either, just by themselves. They really upset me sometimes. My doctor have a unique solution: take pain killers. Another success for modern medicine! Hurrah! As to the cause... 'well, hey, kid, you've used up your 15 minute visit. Just take the damned painkillers, ok?' And so it goes. Jonah PS: As I understand, the heart is not wired to transmit pain, as such, but it comes from surrounding tissues/mechanisms. Guest guest
I used to get pains like this but they went away when I started seeing a good chiropractor. If I were you I would find a " Straight Chiropractor " in your area. they specialize in relieving vertebral subluxations and have taken a solemn oath to treat patients regardless of their ability to pay. Good luck!! -adele In high-tech terms, the central nervous system is equivalent to the line connecting your computer to the Internet. When the flow of information is restricted, the processor is underutilized, thus limiting the computer's performance. When your spine is out of alignment, the brain's ability to communicate with your body is restricted. The body's ability to protect and heal itself is impaired. The quality of life declines. Remove the restriction and the computer returns to its intended level of performance. Align the spine and the quality of life begins to improve. > Hi everyone > > I know that we have talked about heart palpitations, but does anyone get > chest pain? Guest guest
Regarding the 'chest pain' issue.... over and over in every single good 'treatment' overview of candida albicans - once it becomes 'systemic' in the body - is the mention of " chest pains " ... this is definitely a candida symptom - though we don't often talk about this end of thing... most of you probably know all this - but do notice where it talks about the lungs/chest... " read on " ...: " ...Candida Albicans is a negative YEAST INFECTION that begins in the digestive system and little by little spreads to other parts of the body. It is a strong, invasive parasite that attaches itself to the intestinal wall and becomes a permanent resident of your internal organs. It is causing numerous health problems and discomfort for over 30 million men and women every day and it is estimated that nearly everyone has or will have a moderate to serious Candida condition eventually in their lives. A yeast cell produces over 75 known toxic substances that negatively poison the human body. These toxins contaminate the tissues where it weakens the immune system, the glands, the kidneys, bladder, lungs, liver and especially the brain and nervous system. Candida yeast can become so massive and invasive that is enters the FUNGAL form where it provides very long, root-like structures that penetrate the mucous lining of the gastrointestinal wall. This penetration breaks down the protective barrier between the intestinal tract and bloodstream, allowing many foreign and toxic substances to enter and pollute the body systemically. As a result, proteins and other food wastes that are not completely digested or eliminated can assault the immune system and cause tremendous allergic reactions, fatigue and many other health problems. It also allows the Candida itself and bacteria to enter the bloodstream, from which it may find its way to other tissues, resulting in far-ranging effects such as soreness of the joints, chest pain, sinus and skin problems, etc. An autopsy done on a lady who had died of heart failure for no apparent reason, found that her heart was encased with Candida yeast. Vaginal yeast infections are more prevalent today than ever, and they will never completely go away until the yeast has been cleared from the intestinal area. To make matters worse, Candida can be sexually encouraged from one person to another. Candida covers the intestinal wall which chemically and mechanically interferes with digestion and assimilation of food nutrients. Many people, especially senior citizens, cancer victims and those with AIDS are wasting away for want of nutrition because they cannot absorb what they eat. Many people digest less than 50% of their food because the Candida creates a digestive conflict and robs them of their nutrition. Candida creates chaos in the intestines and diseases of which the doctors have little or no answer and can use only medicines to treat it. ALL IMMUNOLOGICAL WEAKNESSES AND INFECTIOUS CONDITIONS are made worse by the presence of Candida throughout the body. The major waste product of yeast cell activity is acetaidehyde and the by-product ethanol. Many people have a low iron content because this mineral is hard to absorb when Candida is present, and therefore have little oxygen in the tissues. Ethanol can cause excessive fatigue and reduces the strength and stamina which takes away ambition. It destroys enzymes needed for cell energy and causes the release of free radicals that encourages the aging process. Candida Albicans in an incredible destroyer of health and is the main missing link in many of our modern day diseases and sub-health conditions. Guest guest
, I had the same problem. What is really important is to make sure you have the heart tested. It's to easy to push a serious problem off on yeast. Doctors do it every day. hum. I even had a stress test along with a sonogram of the heart valve. Since you listed your age I have to tell you to have your thyroid checked out also. I am 42 and I have been having a great many symptoms that has been ignored over many years and the only excuse I could come up with is yeast. I have had chest pain as well as constipation, (I still do, but there is an improvement) muscle pain. A feeling that I am less of a human being on this planet. (four legged creature) Typical symptoms for low thyroid is fatigue and brittle nails and dry itchy skin. I didn't have the last two symptoms which are really an earmark for this disorder. I started seeing a naturopathic doctor also he is an M.D. He discovered my progesterone was low and so he gave a close look at my thyroid. It fell in the low normal range on the test. He thought he would try me not just on more progesterone but adding thyroid as well. I really feel more close to normal than I have in the past 15 years. I have just spent a month on these medicines and am looking forward to the coming months. Guest guest
well... in a sense it is 'good' to **know** this ... to realize that 'systemic' candida is altogether a different thing than a " vaginal infection " .... or " jock itch " .... This 'toxic' candida releases TOXINS throughout the body - it can also affect the brain. For me,,,, it 'settles me down' to realize - that I 'may' have a long road ahead - but that I'm NOT CRAZY - and the things happening in my body are REAL. I am continuing to 'fight the fight' even if it takes a number of years to rid the organs and bloodstream of this. wendy Re: chest pains An autopsy done on a lady who had died of heart failure for no apparent reason, found that her heart was encased with Candida yeast. >>> Great article , but now I am scared to death ! Guest guest
, Here is a portion of the post from Excellent Things from a member who tried a GNC product for thyroid. It is not my post so I cannot answer any questions about it. But this persons experience is a very positive one. LIZ D ********************** Hi. I was just wondering if your low thyroid folks have tried / heard of using a homeopathic preparation to increase your thyroid output. I found one at our local GNC store that uses Thyroid 8X and distilled H2O with a little alcohol. It's taken sublingually four times daily. It's also inexpensive. (About $8 a bottle if I recall.) Let me explain.... Some of you folks will probably recall that I was getting good results with weight loss using high dosages of aminos. Well, I hit a plateau; I stopped losing. I figured that my body was likely attenuating either the aminos or the additional GH. So, I decided to stop for the weekends. (My plan now is: 5 days on, 2 days off.) Well, I was nebbing around the local GNC store. Let me explain.... I've always had a severe weight problem. When I graduated from HS, I weighed 301 lbs! When I was in my early 20's, I crash dieted and went to 158 in just under 6 months. (Nearly killed myself.) I found that in order to maintain a weight of 190lbs, I had to run 7 miles daily and keep to under 2500 calories a day. I maintained 190 lbs for about 10 years, I was depressed, weak and constantly hungry. Around 10 years later, I started gaining again. I simply couldn't maintain this forever. It was just one strain to many. I had always suspected that I had some sort of hormonal problem...likely thyroid. So... I saw this " homeopathic thyroid support " at the health food store. I tried it. Let me explain what happened.... Within about sixty seconds of my first time taking it, I started to feel this uncomfortable tension or pressure in my throat about where my thyroid should be. I found that with subsequent dosages, I still felt pressure, but it felt less and less uncomfortable each time. I feel more alert than I have in years. And I feel that more weight is coming off. ************** END > [Original Message] > From: Nick Grant <nwgrant@...> > <candidiasis > > Date: 4/13/01 12:42:49 AM > Subject: Re: chest pains > > Liz > > I know my thyroid or adrenals are not what they should be. Guest guest
When I'm having serious die-off, I have had serious chest pain and breathing " wierdness " (couldn't feel myself breathing), and a sort of disconnected feeling from my body. The chest pain was so bad that I went to the E.R. twice before I figured out I had candida and leaky gut. I had die-off without knowing I had candida, because I started taking a garlic supplement, and wham, serious die-off. Scared the hell out of me. I thought I was having heart attacks or a pulmonary edema. But no. Had heart stress test, and pulmonary test, and no problems there. Die-off is bad enough when you know what it is. Having it without knowing what it is a frightful proposition. I think all garlic (and over-the-counter antifungal substances) should have a warning on them. Guest guest
When I read what you described I though ACID REFLUX. There could be many reasons for it and would definitely mention it to your Doctor or head to the ER if it gets worse. My ACID REFLUX pops up in all kinds of forms from the burning throat to chest pains to a horrible burning between my shoulder blades. The adrenaline rush was probably sheer anxiety over those pains. When I get new unexpected pains that I can't explain I get that way to the point I almost hyperventilate. I suffer from Panic attacks so I can usually calm myself down from those situations...but this is just my body...your body is quite different I am sure Shandi In a message dated 8/14/2002 8:21:46 PM Eastern Daylight Time, kb9vrq@... writes: > Hi Everyone, > > On my nightly commute from work I started having acute pain on the > right side of my chest. Guest guest
That sounds about right. My husband, as well, earlier this year went through acid reflux in the same area. I am still trying to convince him it isn't his heart. They did a few tests on his heart and found no troubles and the NEXIUM helps. He is 31 with no heart history in his family but his uncle had died a week before of heart failure. What my husband fails to realize was his uncle was a drug addict and didn't take careof himself! I am sure you will be fine but you will be in my thoughts never the less Good luck and let us know what the doc says.
