Guest guest
Hello, my name is Liz and I am fairly new to the group. I have been on Xolair for 2 months. I get two shots every 2 weeks. I just received the last two yesterday. Anyway, today I called Curascript to get my refill sent to the doctor's office and was told my insurance would not cover the charges. Then I called the insurance company, BCBS of AL, and all they could tell me was that my plan did not cover mail order scripts. I tried to explain that this was a specialty med but it didn't seem to matter. The supervisor could not even help. I have a call into my doctor's office for the Xolair coordinator, but was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem. I don't understand how they can process something twice and suddenly have no idea what I am talking about. Sorry for venting, but it took over a year for them to get me started on Xolair due to all the confusion with the insurance company. I guess it isn't any help that I have had bronchitis and can't seem to get over it. Doctor put me on another week of Biaxin and another taper of prednisone yesterday. Thanks for giving me someplace to vent. Family and friends don't seem to understand why I am so frustrated.
