Guest guest
My doctor's knows, and because it is not constant, when it does bother me I take ibuprofen or tylenol and that usually takes care of it. I know that the prednisone masked some of that because i would notice more " aches " when I went off of the prednisone. Still have some of those aches from time to time, but I am not too surprised at my age. I have no aches or pains that keep me from doing what I need to do and most of the time what I want to do! I have more trouble with my right foot and ankle and my right hand since starting Xolair. However, this also coincides with me no longer havng to take pred on a regular basis, and surely the prednisone would have been masking any other type of inflammation in addition to working on my sinuses and lungs. Since my mother and my grandmother have and have had severe arthritis and osteo-inflammatory issues (sorry if its' the wrong term), I'm confident that that is a genetic issue for me, and so is my doctor. Guest guest
Just to clarify, my soft tissue inflammation is daily. If I don't take Advil or Celebrex I get very stiff and sore in my muscles, ligaments and tendons. But, primarily the stiffness and pain (from inflammation) is at the sight of " overuse injury " due to exercise and sports. The only other issue is that my feet are always sore first thing out of bed, but feel better after walking around for a little while. The issue is that I had minor degrees of this before Xolair, but now the levels of stiffness and pain have increased. > > > > From: billybaroo1958 <cajjz109@ .> > > Subject: [ ] Re: potential problems with Xolair; > potential benefits from Xolair and this forum > > > > Date: Wednesday, July 23, 2008, 10:40 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >>Interestingly, she said that others had also taken a Xolair holiday. > > Perhaps it's to see if Xolair was working or if they could get along > > without it; it wasn't clear.
