Guest guest
I've heard a couple of you report that your doctors have suggested this. I had to go off Xolair due to changes in insurance in 2005 for about 4 months. When I started back up, my doctor started me at a lower dose and boy was that a disaster. I've been back at the max dose since early 2006. My doc has said they are hoping that some patients will see a permanent improvement that could allow them to discontinue Xolair but he told me that I will never be in that group. He's my favorite doctor EVER. Addy Group co-owner
Guest guest
Hi, Addy, I have been on Xolair almost as long as Doug. I was on once a month and then went to two shots twice a month because there were to many allergents in my house that I can do nothing about. I went to the doctor in June and she was going to be out for a week and so I had to wait an extra week. The Xolair worked through the extra week and when I got my shot it worked really well. My point in all this is that Xolair really works for me. The Doctor wants me to be a poster person for Xolair..... I am getting ready for my 4-5th Asthma Walk.....Go Bus Crew. Breathing better one day at a time. Guest guest
Dear Sr. : Congratulations on being on xolair for so long and for doing so well. I have been on xolair for two years, on the lowest dose--once every four weeks for the first 18 months and the doctor extended the length of time to once every six weeks, which has left me a little sob the last two weeks, from time to time--more so than when I was on the every four weeks shot. It has made a difference in the way I feel overall--no sinus infections that required an antibiotic, and no prednisone for two years....that is a big time improvement for me, as I was previously on antibiotics anywhere from two to four times a year, and the pred usually was added as well. Keep on breathing well and congrats on running in the asthma run for life!
