Guest guest
This is for all of us, as I know some of you who have to take Xolair at the doc's office probably know others who take insulin or some other med that has to be refrigerated at who administer it at home: I don't know why I didn't think of this until this month. My homeowner's policy only covers us for loss of items in the fridge up to $500 if there is an electrical outage or the fridge goes bad. Well, that's nothing, and since we have a deductible of $1k, we'd have to have a hurricane with some other damage for us to use that. However, I get $3,000 of Xolair delivered every month and I cannot afford to replace that if my fridge goes out or we lose electricity for several days. I called my homeowners agent and he said that it would cost $30- 45 a year for me to get a special endorsement to cover refrigerated medication. In my neck of the woods that's what's called a " no brainer " Addy Group co-owner
