Guest guest Posted July 30, 2008 Report Share Posted July 30, 2008 I have been on Xolair 150 mg evry 4 weeks for over three years and for the past two years I have been virtually symptom free of asthma. In late June, I went to Charlottesville, VA (I live Arizona) and my chest got tight and had to use Albuterol inhalant. I returned to Arizona after a few days but the asthma kept getting worse. I have been on prednisone for almost a month and am now down to 7 mg a day. I had a Xolair shot 8 days ago and it did not help. The main problem is that the inside of my chest itches and sometimes it is very intense. My pulmologist and allergist both say it is due to inflammation. My allergist prescribes xyzal and singulair and after 8 days of both medicine, my chest still itches. Prednisone is supposed to be antiinflammatory and I am still on prednisone.
