Guest guest
>I used to battle with laryngitis and URI's all the time before I started xolair in 2003. Now, it is rare that I get one anymore. Don't know if it was the Xolair that cleared them up or not. My doc says less allergy symptoms can bring less infections in some people. >Of course, everyone is different. Check with your doctor just to be sure Doug, what you convey is in line with my understanding. I expect a number of other patients share your happy experience. Apparently, I'm not alone either. Then, too, increased susceptability to URI and/or other infections, or symptoms associated with these, seem to be among those reported to occur in some patients only with the first few Xolair injections. The one thing that would surprise me is any doctor confidently being able to predict with particular patients which of us are going to have adverse reactions, or in which of us any substantial adverse reactions will prove to be transient. There are factors doctors may consider in assessing the likelihood that a particular patient will be among those who benefit from Xolair. Has this list or the medical literature yielded factors to assess, conversely, which patients are more apt to have adverse reactions?
