Guest guest
diagnosed with asthma at 5 i started to " outgrow " it at age 18 or 19. i had NO symptoms for 3 or so years and have lived in the same city my whole life. randomly, at age 21, i had trouble taking in a full breath. no weezing and minimal coughing just couldn't take a deep breath or yawn. i immeadiately attributed it to asthma and was so irritated because i thought i beat the disease. so, i went to see my asthma specialist and got on the same old drugs. it got worse, the drugs didn't work! advair and albuterol. albuterol used to be my " go to " when i was younger but it didn't even work anymore. my doctor didn't believe me and suggested xolair. i've been on xolair for 4 years and it seems to work a bit i guess. my lung measurements are fine i still can't take in a deep breath! do i even have asthma or is it something else? -jay
