Guest guest
Has anyone had the opportunity to see Lee Breuer's adaptation of " A Doll's House " ? It is playing in Providence, RI this week (only one showing which conflicts with other activities.) The three male leads are little people and from what I can gather from the review, the play deals with how women don't fit in to the men's world. The Providence Journal is found at: http://www.projo.com/theater/content/projo_20060326_breuer.2f468fe.html --------------------------------- Messenger with Voice. Guest guest
I saw the play back in November. If you ever have the opportunity in the future, you should try to see it. Not that I go often to the theater, but Doll House was one of the best experiences I've had watching a play. All three of the characters who are people of short stature have significant, well-developed roles. I think it's fun when stage entertainment drifts into the realm of the bizzare or surreal, and by the second act, Doll House has planted itself firmly in that zone. The reviews of the play have also been interesting to follow. Some critics interpret the casting of three little people as a gimmick while others read the casting as part of this director's specific vision of the story. gary Dana <danaall@...> wrote: Has anyone had the opportunity to see Lee Breuer's adaptation of " A Doll's House " ?
