Guest guest
Good Morning All!! Well I am glad that it is over, I was all worked up over starting Xolair. I got one shot in my arm and one in my tummy. I will NEVER do the arm again. Not sure if it is cause I have skinny arms or what but that one hurt really bad, all the way to my fingers. The one in my tummy did not hurt bad at all. I was very sick to my stomach, not sure if that is because of nerves or the meds or lack of food, but once I ate, it only got worse. I was also a bit dizzy but again I believe that is cause of the nerves. But today I am feeling good. Yesterday I was told that my milk and beef allergy were a class #1, does anyone know what that means?? The gal I saw yesterday, not my normally dr, also told me that I need to stay away from buffalo, which I had a trace reaction too on the test but have not had a reaction that I know of. ARG!!! I am running out of foods that I CAN eat. (Can't have pork or potatoes either.) Also does anyone have a new reaction to shellfish since starting the shots? Thanks for any advice you all have!!! God Bless, Dana
Guest guest
My son started Xolair around the same time Doug did 2003.He was on top of the waiting list for Xolair to be approved. We were told Monday that he had improved so much he could stop taking it. At the age of 11, he was on 13 different medications, took allergy shots and Xolair biweekly. Over the years, he gradually was weaned from everything. I do not say this to discourage anyone who has not seen the positive results, but to encourage because there was a time before Xolair that hope was almost lost. Prayers go out for each and everyone of you. ________________________________ From: uca79iii <uca79iii@...> Sent: Monday, June 8, 2009 5:15:54 AM Subject: [ ] Re: first shot > > Well I had my first shot today it was not bad.All I can do is hope it works. Thank's to everyone that post it good to read how other people fared. > Xolair shots are just a part of my life now. Every other Friday at 12:30 I go to the Allergists office and get them (along with a regular allergy shot), then go to the city park to do my power walking, then to lunch. I never have had any pain from them but last Friday the regular allergy shot hurt worse than usual. The soreness went away after 4 days. My asthma? MUCH, MUCH, MUCH, (did I say much?) better! NO MORE PREDNISONE! OOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOO! Doug Group founder On Xolair since September 2003
