Hello Everyone,

I am still here, but haven't written in a while. I think of you all

often and hope you are all doing well.

I did a search on the topic of a Xolair reaction of itching, and

really only came up with this post. I apologize for the cross post.

Anyway.. here is my question. Last week after about 15 minutes after

my Xolair injection, my face started itching. This caused my doctor

and the nurses to be concered and I spent a total of 3 hours at the

office. Has anyone else experienced this? This is my 8th month of

Xolair injections. Do you think that a different batch can cause

this? I also started to have a flare up about 15-20 minutes after I

recieve my shot. It is never enough to use my inhaler, and subsides

really quickly. This has been happening with the last 4 injections.

What do you all think?

I would definitely investigate this because I had a similar problem. & nbsp; I

went for 2 months where the shot would last about 3-4 days and incredible, and I

do mean INCREDIBLE itching would follow for about 3 or 4 more days. & nbsp; I went

and saw my PCP and he put me on Zyrtec, which really helped the itching. & nbsp;

Spoke to the nurse at the pulmo's office and someone else in her office had a

similar problem. & nbsp; I actually went off the shot for a month to try and

figure out what was going on and had my IgE retested and it was about the

same. & nbsp; Went back on the shot and everything has been fine since. & nbsp; I

later found out that when I went back on the shot it was a Different

Batch. & nbsp; I discussed this with my Pulmo a few weeks later and he hadn't

heard of any issues with bad batches but said he's seen odd things happen with

different meds throughout his career (30+ years). & nbsp; We still don't know why

the itching occurred and why the Xolair

stopped working after a few days but all is well now. & nbsp; It's a new Med

that's largely unstudied on the general population so there are many

unknowns. & nbsp; Fingers crossed no major side effects ever come about.
