Guest guest
Congratulations, Doug and thank you very much for starting this group. & nbsp; I know how much it means to those of us who were fearful of starting, but we got the encouragement we needed, and the cautions, too, and the celebration emails when we realized that the xolair had begun to work. & nbsp; My xolair date is August and I started it in 2006, so it will be two years. & nbsp; & nbsp; No trips to the ER No prednisone since Jan. 2006 No sinus infections, although this Spring I came very close. & nbsp; But the doc put me on Zyrtec D and that took care of it--no infection! Some days I forget I even have asthma! I'm able to stay outside for longer periods of time without any sneezing, runny nose, or shortness of breath, although I do cough occasionally. Overall I am able to do as much or more as before. & nbsp; No reactions to the shots--not even a red spot or swelling or itching... I think I mentioned before that the doctor has spread out my shots--every six weeks, now. & nbsp; I am still doing okay, but I have had to use my neb and inhaler a little more often. & nbsp; Here's to better breathing for all of us! & nbsp; I'm thankful for something that really helps most of us and hope there is a help in the future for those very few who are not helped by xolair. It is my prayer that everyone will have as good of an experience with xolair as I have in these past years. Here are things that highlight my treatment: 1. Never had any problems with insurance approval 2. No problems with Shipping 3. Two shots every 2 weeks since September 2003 and no reactions during or after. 4. Need for Prednisone decreased about 98% 5. No sign of type II Diabetes since stopping the Prednisone 6. Weight loss of 35 pounds 7. Peak flows staying around 600. (They used to be in the 300's) 8. Have my life back 9. Meeting and becoming friends with so many of you in this group Happy breathing my friends, Doug Group founder

Guest guest
wow...5 years already!! BIG KUDOS!!! I am SO grateful that you started this group Doug. AND I am so GLAD you told us about this at the Xolair conference. Our " little 12 step meeting " for Xolair Patients. (Hi, My name is Kathe and I've been on Xolair since 2005....) LOL!! I know this has helped me out quite a bit. It is very comforting to know that there are people out there who understand what I'm going through as an asthmatic!
