Guest guest
My GP gave me a pneumonia vaccine AND a tetanus vaccine that had pertussis (whooping cough) in it on the same day. I had a bad reaction to one, with high fever and fatigue so bad that I had to sleep every 3- 4 hours. My mom informed me that both my brother and I had reactions to pertussis and did not finish the course of that vaccine as a result. I talked to my pulmo about it and he said no more pertussis vaccines for me but wants me to try the pneumonia vaccine again next year by itself. SO, my advice for all of us seriously allergic people is never to get more than one vaccine at a time so that if you have a reaction to one you know which one it is.
