Guest guest
Ruth, I was very nervous for my first shot as well(will have # 3 in a couple weeks). I think this is normal. Just bring a book to read and a bottle of water(I had to stay 3 hrs for my first shot, not sure if this is the norm). You will be ok. Let us know how it goes., ---- ruthbourton <ruthbourton@...> wrote: > Hi, > I'm am very new to this and am having my first injections in the > morning and feel very nervous and don't know why. > I spend my life in and out of ITU and hope this will put an end to it. > I have read all of the recent messages and hope that it will work > wonders for me as well. > Am now a daily reader of this site and find it very interesting Thanks > Ruth x >

You are among friends who understand and have been just where you are. I was there in September 2003. I have had 2 shots every two weeks ever since then without any problems whatsoever. Now, if it was a Decadron shot I was getting, I would be worried to death. That stuff gives me all sorts of horrible side effects for weeks!!! Relax, it is gonna be fine Doug Group founder
Guest guest
Hi Ruth, I think it is normal to be a little nervous in the beginning I was too and after about a month I don't even think about it now because of the all good things that have come from it. Namely, not being attached to my nebulizer and inhalers like I was and also no need for Pred anymore. I wish you a fast response to X and that it helps you stay out of the hospital! Best to you! Guest guest
Good luck to you. I can't say I was nervous because I was so looking forward to the benefits that this drug can give. I got off of prednisone. I haven't been to the ER or hospital in over 2 years. I can go outside and also live with the windows open with people cutting grass. It has given me my life back and I breathe like a normal person. My asthma was very severe. I hope it helps you too...
