I am glad your asthma is better and that you didn't have to go on pred. That

Congrats, Doug.  You are certainly an inspiration to all of us.  Glad you didn't

have to use Pred.  It has been 2 and a 1/2 years since my last use of Pred.  I

had a minor event this spring, but went on zyrtec instead of allegra and did not

have to have pred or an antibiotic. 

I will have been on xolair two years in August.  I mentioned that my shots are

150mg every six weeks, now.  The first extension I had some minor shortness of

breath--minor in that I did not have to up any meds or use pred., but it still

held me back from doing some things I wanted to do (Made it through the list of

HAVE TO DOs).  The second was not so bad, and this time has not been bad at

all.  I think (not sure) that since the clinic where I get my shot is a research

clinic that they are seeing what will happen when they begin to reduce the shots

or extend the time in between.  We'll see.

I got so bad that I called the doctor. I BEGGED him NOT to put me on a

Pred burst and taper so he sent me home and told me to neb with a

of nebs.

Once I got out of that bug spray, my asthma got instantly better.

My asthma is back to normal again.

Three things I can't be around:

1. Bug spray

2. Perfumes

3. Cigarette smoke

Got my 122nd xolair shot today and blew my usual 600 on the the little

kazoo! THANK GOD, NO PRED!

Doug,

I can't be around insecticides either. Had a life threatening

reaction at age 11.

Tomorrow is Xolair day! Yep, injecting myself AT HOME.
