would be a 7 day cruise ....probably Friday to Friday .... Hopefully

Marge - Can you tell me why you're choosing Princess over Royal Carribean this

time, for the Alaskan cruise? We just got off a RC cruise a couple of weeks ago

and several crew members had worked the last LP cruise and were asking me when

we're all going again. It would just make sense to me to use a ship that was

already familiar with our needs, plus some who were on the last cruise could

chalk up points by cruising with the same line. Anyway, won't complain since

I'm not organizing it. Just curious as to how you chose.

Hi Marge,

I went on so many cruises.

I've done The Alaska route. It's really a lifetime experience. And definately

great for kids too.

I've done princess, Royal and Holland America.

Princess has a terrible kids program (accrording to my sisters who bring their

kids on our annual family cruise)

The Food On Princess was really good, but the overall shipboard experience on

Royal is way better especially on the

Voayer Class ships.

(We've been on all 5)

For Alaska we did Holland America, it was great. But that was almost 10 years

ago. Now I understand Princess and

Royal know Alaska just as well.

Thanks

We are awaiting prices from Royal Caribbean and Princess. ... The

Special Needs Coordinator at Pricess is a wheelchair user, so she is more

understanding of our needs. So we'll see where the best price is and who

can be best accomadating for our decision.

We are awaiting prices from Royal Caribbean and Princess to see who can

give the best deal. The special needs coordinator at Princess is a wheel

chair user. Dee Polish, our travel agent , has had many problems with RC

explaining our needs . She is hopefull that Princess will be easier. .

yes we are understanding of accumulating points.

So no decision is final yet..

Thanks Marge for explaining the cruise situation. I am so appreciative of

someone stepping forward and offering to organize such a huge event on their own

time. I'm a slow learner though and maybe you can help me out. It's still not

clear to me how one of the biggest cruise lines who's already done a cruise with

several little people wouldn't have a clear understanding of what our needs are.

That just doesn't make sense to me. I must be missing something. RCCL bent

over backwards on our cruise to make us as comfortable as possible but I am

aware, there were only 3 of us dwarves on that entire ship vs. hundreds (maybe).

When you say " Dee Polish, our travel agent " what does the " our " refer to? Is

she LPA's special travel agent or your travel agent or who? Just curious.

Please be patient with all my questions. :)
