Guest guest
Welcome! You will find that most of us have had GREAT success with Xolair. I suggest that you go and read past posts and our stories I was on Prednisone most of my life and have had side effects that really affected my heath Now, I only have only had to have it a few times since I started xolair in 2003. Remember, Xolair is not a fast acting medication. Only a small few of us got relief within a few shots, others like me took up to a year or more. Guest guest
Good luck Bisnono. Hopefully the Xolair does the trick. Do give it a time to work although for me the initial benfits came after just a couple weeks. I'm looking forward to Spring with mixed emotions. History says I'll get clobbered with pollen allergies but last year, after six months on Xolair at the time, I went about life outdoors as normal and only got clobbered once by the maple or juniper pollens. This year, those pollens are in the air already and I'm not reacting yet and really doubt that I will. I never could be a prisoner in my house during spring. I react all winter to stale inside air and can't wait to get outside and breath fresh air, even if it's loaded with pollen. It's the lesser of the evils. For me, fresh cool spring air blowing in from the Northwest is absolutely euphoric but I have to be outside to enjoy it. > > Hi everyone, > > I'm new to the group. Guest guest
Dear Doug: I have been having trouble getting my xolair group emails to go through. I forget to check the " text " and for some reason in the email section, even though I change to plain text and " save " it, it keeps reverting to rich text. I decided to post through the group setting. I had written a post about my visit Thursday to the doctor whose clinic gives me my xolair. My question is has anyone done so well they have had their dose reduced? I think I remember that several have had theirs increased. I will turn 70 in May and because I have done really well in the year and a half I have been on xolair (no infections, no asthma events, no prednisone, and no antibiotics) he suggested reducing my shots to once every six weeks--not reducing the dosage, just the length of time between shots. He is also suggesting to my allergist that my advair be reduced to 50/250 which won't bother me a bit--less steroid and less co-pay! Have a great day..... Secondly, if you are using the " Rich Text Beta " to send posts this could possibly be the problem. I have never used it and have never had any probs.
