Guest guest
Visit to my pulmonologist has me at an additional 10-12 lbs. since I started Xolair last summer. I don't diet well - I need thrive on protein and because of various medications I need to eat. I just realized the yogurt I've been eating to settle my stomach has corn syrup - I am going on corn syrup reduction in my diet this week. It's tough but it's in everything so I'm going to cut back where I can (real maple syrup on pancakes versus 98% corn syrup and 2% maple... will resume making my own spaghetti sauce and limit condiments). I had hopes that when I get off the evil candy I'd lose some weight and see cheekbones again. On this site I've read that people put on 20 lbs. after starting Xolair. That's disheartening, but I guess it's better to be big and able to walk and breathe then skinny and laying there in respiratory distress. How about doing a poll on who lost and gained what on Xolair?
Guest guest
I have been on Xolair for a year and a half. I have lost 10 of the 20 pounds I gained from long term steriods. In the last six months I have begun to feel well enough to begin excerising nearly everyday. Although I may never be pre-prednisone/Xolair weight, I feel better and am beginning to look like myself again. Give it time. --- JoyCarol and <jclutterbuster@...> wrote: > Visit to my pulmonologist has me at an additional > 10-12 lbs. since I > started Xolair last summer.
