Guest guest
Wow, thanks everyone for the kind words. I kind of forget about being scared of the effects of Xolair on my pregnancy now that everything is ok. I forget how hard I tried to find someone to talk to who had been through it already - and couldn't find anyone. I don't spend a lot of time thinking about life before Xolair either. I've been getting shots for so long I don't give much thought to them at all - it's just part of my routine. I forget how much I owe to this drug and to the people who developed it. It didn't cure me; it didn't even get me off medrol - but it did change my life. And I'm very grateful to have this group to be able to connect with other people who know exactly what I mean. Guest guest
Likewise, Xolair hasn't cured my asthma but it changed my life. I could barely climb a flight of stairs without it and now I can jog a mile or so up and down hills. I used to dread going to bed at night because it would be an all out war with the dust mites. Now all I have to do is change linens often and vacuum once per day. Eight hours of quality sleep is a done deal where before I'd be lucky to twist and turn for 2. The itching and mucus secretions were just intense. Still taking Advair 500 2x per day and can't seem to get any lower but no complaints. Rarely use the rescue inhaler and can't remember the last time I took Pred. Oh yeah, now I remember. I had to stop Xolair for a week and landed on the Pred after 6 days. Go figure.
