We must all be on the same cycle because I just found out last week that I'm

pregnant with

#1! That makes me a little over 5 weeks pregnant and puts me due around June 2.

I had a hard time sleeping last night because my husband is out of town at the

moment

and when I called my doctor's office last week they wanted me to come in right

away, so I

have my first prenatal appointment today. Woke up at 4am and tossed until

getting up at

7:30.

I can't tell you what a relief it was to get on here this morning and read about

people's

success stories when it comes to pregnancy and Xolair and also to know that

there are

others who are going through the same thing I am right now. I've been on it for

6 months

and the change in my health and consequently my energy level is nothing short of

a

miracle.

Congrats to everyone!

This is awesome!  It gives us all hope.  After doing so well on Xolair, I have

been thinking if I find the right guy, I'd like to have a family.  I'm 36 and

hear the clock ticking.  While, most of my friends were having babies in their

early thirties,  I was just trying to breathe and take care of myself.  It was

disheartening because I thought I had found someone to settle down with and my

asthma seemed to control my life.

There is so much to look forward, too.  This is such a blessing.  Please keep us

informed of your progress.

All the best,

Webber

I'm 35 and we'd tried for just a couple of months so obviously it

didn't appear to affect my ability to conceive, which should be a

relief to anyone else over 35.

Now, what'll be really interesting is to see if all of our doctors

have the same recommendations for us regarding Xolair during

pregnancy, or if they're different. Not sure what to expect since

there are so few women who've actually taken it during pregnancy. I

get two vials every two weeks because of my IgE levels, so I'm hoping

that I'll be able to stay at that level during pregnancy. Should find

out more this afternoon! :-)

Sara, I saw  your post.  I am due June 3.  How funny!

My appointment with my obgyn is not until October 9th and I should be 6 weeks at

that time.  However, I did beg my pulmologist to order a pregnancy blood test

last Friday and that confirmed my three pregnancy tests I had taken.  Are you

going to talk to your doctor about signing up for the registry?  I am planning

on doing that because it may help others in the future.

Yes, Xolair is amazing and has certainly changed my life around completely.

Hope the appointment goes well this morning!

Dominique

Yeah, I am 34 but I have a collapsed tube and one that is completely

blocked so the odds of getting pregnant were really small, but it

happened. My first doctor's appointment is the 9th so I am ready

This is almost creepy-we've ALL three got prenatal doc appointments on Oct. 9

AND we're

ally due within a couple of weeks of each other. There's got to be something in

the water!

If ya'll tell me you're in Georgia, that'll be just too weird...

My OB set me up for three appointments. I've got one on the 9th and one on the

24th (get

to hear the heartbeat at the second one). I've also got a consult scheduled in

late

November with a perinatologist because I'm on Xolair, am over 35 and have an

ongoing

thyroid issue just to be on the safe side.

My OB said I can stay on the Xolair and that it's more important to keep me (and

therefore

my baby) healthy by being able to breathe. Am also planning to sign up with the

Xolair

registry--yeah, it sort of feels like we're " pioneers " in all this!

Yes, you are right.  This is alsmost creepy.  Maybe the side effect of Xolair is

indeed pregnancy :-)

No, I live in Kansas... probably a reason for my allergies along with the

asthma.

Did your obgyn refer you to a perinatologist or did they suggest it?  I am 36,

on Xolair and have high blood pressure, so I think that's the route I will

probably end up going.

Theresa, you asked about the registry.  That is on the Xolair website.  Also,

your pulmologist may know about it.  They basically want to know which women are

pregnant and follow them through their pregnancy with phone interviews to see

how things are going.  Here is the link:

http://www.xolairpregnancyregistry.com/

I hope that all the others in this group are not annoyed with all of our prego

talk :-)

Will stick to discussing clinical info of

interest to future Xolair users in our position.

Dominique--it wasn't just a suggestion--my OB actually referred me to

a perinatologist and set-up an appointment with him for me yesterday.
