Guest guest
, It's not so much the nebulizer that can cause the arrythmia, but the albuterol that is used in it to clear and dilate the lungs. Some of the side effects (common and temporary) are heart arrythmia, nervousness, etc. It's like a major adrenal rush. I wouldn't worry for your son. It's okay in moderation. I was just shocked that someone would use it for something so minor as a runny nose! Jill
Guest guest
Jill, The medicine prescribed for IS albuterol, and although the hospital Doc said to continue for a week, my ped told me he was clear and maybe do it for one more day, BUT, she too said that this causes them to be hyper (which baffles me because he is conked out right after or during). I'm glad you cleared this up though because I would have believed the respiratory therapist in that it was ok to use ALL the time when dealing with a cold. Thanks for sharing, you never know how many people have read this and got a light bulb moment as well! Have a great weekend! ' Mom
Guest guest
My Invacare Envoy Jr Nebulizer is starting to get frayed wires and needs replacing, it's several years old. I have a Omron Elite as a back (Portable) up but I do not like to use it as my primary, I Neb 3-4 times a day. Does anyone use a Nebulizer they are happy with and can recommend? Guest guest
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Omron Microair that runs on AA batteries. I bought it myself and paid cash money for it after the last hurricane that actually came on shore (3 years ago, maybe 4). It fits in a case just a little larger than a case for eye glasses. It is wonderful. I can take or use it anywhere. Addy Group Co-owner > > My Invacare Envoy Jr Nebulizer is starting to get frayed wires and needs replacing, it's several years old. Guest guest
re: omron nebulizer I have two of these units and you must be very careful with sanitization of the unit and also the vibrating mesh membrane is very delicate. ________________________________ From: pyle456 <jamcculloch2@...> Sent: Friday, March 20, 2009 6:07:09 PM Subject: [ ] Re: Nebulizer I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Omron Microair that runs on AA batteries. Guest guest
i have the same omron mircroair. i love it. i bought it as my " portable " but its been my primary for 3+ years since i bought it. my compressor neb sits in my closet, collecting dust. i love the idea that i can neb on the couch and hear the TV, at the table and think about hte book i'm reading, even talk on the phone. my compressor neb probably feels unloved, but its just too noisey. > > > > My Invacare Envoy Jr Nebulizer is starting to get frayed wires and needs replacing, it's several years old.
