Lack of medical interest when Pulmo Function tests are worse

Just had a routine follow-up visit w/my PC today. (actually am having trouble

with crazy itchy skin that disappeared for several years after Rx treatment with

Vit B6,12 although no one seems to be able to help me with this now)

Talked about asthma (it's been one year almost to the day since I stopped Xolair

due to being forced off home injections) and the fact that I have an attack

almost every day now and that occasionally I wake up feeling like I'm

suffocating. Basically, I think that means the asthma is NOT under control and

in a round about way I think that's what he was getting at. In the questioning

it came out that my last pulmonary function test was a year ago and showed I had

slightly worse lung function than I did even before Xolair (took it for 1-1/2

years). While on Xolair I had pulmonary function tests every 3 months. i.e.,

after I stopped the Xolair there were no new treatments offered to me and no

more diagnostic tests. The Xolair did help the asthma for several months and

the sinus headaches in particular. Perhaps I built up a tolerance to it so it

didn't work on asthma or perhaps there was some other unknown factor. But,

there seems to be another attitude going on too ... a sort've " control " issue

.... perhaps something to hide or ignore ... and perhaps my health is not so

paramount in all the decision making.
