Guest guest
He has asked for a > photograph of my full body, back and front and then will give me a detailed > diagnosis and treatment plan. I think the above statement needs a little more explaining. Doesn't that seem odd to you, , that he wants photos rather than giving you an exam? Just my thoughts, there may be a rational explanation. Butt, what would photos show????? Mike
Guest guest
Hmmm... Obviously he didn't " take it matter of factly " but your post left me wondering why in the world you take what he said about himself " matter of factly " ? Are you serious? Good luck, Gail > I am slated to go to Japan this summer to lecture on art and the point > person who is making the arrangements happens to be an MD. Guest guest
Wow that is super stressful. You don't need that. Keep us posted on the results! ________________________________ From: meencantador <meencantador@...> Sent: Thursday, June 25, 2009 4:24:18 AM Subject: [ ] can't think of a subject line As many of you know, I have had the traditional open gallbladder surgery, 4 weeks later a hysterectomy. A year and a half ago, I was told I have costochondritis. The costo....has been getting worse. I am at the point when I get the Xolair shot, I get a shot of cortisone as well. As time goes on, the chest pains/spasms have been getting worse. The dr had me get blood work, an angiogram and a CT scan. That was Tuesday. Wednesday, the dr's office called to pack a bag, I was going to be admitted into the hospital. Long story short, tests indicate I have nodules on my lungs. Now I have to get a biopsy. For those of you who know how warm and caring my family is (NOT), at this time I am not sharing with them for self preservation reasons. They got me all upset when I had the gallbladder and hysterectomy. I am scared though. This is 5 biopsies in one year. (All different reasons) Has anyone else experienced this? The xolair dr does not think this is from Xolair. He does feel that years on the evil candy, opening me up for the gallbladder surgery, then the hysterectomy, plus the costochondritis and lungs usually inflamed, these all contribute for nodules. I don't know. I just know I am tired of constantly being in a dr's office. Time will tell. I just feel I am too young to be this old. __________________________________________________________________ The new Internet Explorer® 8 - Faster, safer, easier. Guest guest
Looong before I was on Xolair I went to an allergist (actually several and they were all a waste of money) who ran a chest xray and saw a nodule on my lung. I was totally freaked. They ordered a catscan without contrast (I get sick on iodine) and the " nodule " was gone. His assistant muttered something to me on the phone about a " nipple shadow " as the explanation. (Never happened before or after that incident) I had another catscan of my lungs a few years later and still no nodule but showed some damage to my lungs from the frequent infections that often left a bit of stuff in the lower part of the lung. Yes, I do personally think that long term lung infections plus evil candy do add up to more complications. I guess the best thing is to do everything one can to reduce the incidence/use of evil candy and the infections. Easier said than done, I know. I hope they have put you on replacement hormones after hysterectomy. Genetic predisposition plus being female tends to increase the likelihood of gall bladder disease. Had that experience too quite young. Guest guest
WOW. I am so sorry to hear you have ONE MORE THING on your plate, when you already have such a full plate! Lately I have been reading about immunity and hypersensitivity. Very simply: those of us with these allergies that are IgE mediated have Type 1 hypersensitivity. But there are other types of hypersensitivity and a number of ways that hypersensitivity can manifest itself. I am wondering if you have a particularly weak immune system and/or a particularly oversensitive, hyperresponsive hypersensitivity response and that all of these various medical issues you have relate back to that. Please let us know what you find out in this next biopsy, and please take good care of yourself.
