He/she really need to know. If this had happened at my doctor's office they would have noticed it in a heartbeat and apologized immediately and profusely! The 4 ladies in my allergist's office who give Xolair are trained well before they are allowed to even touch a patient. Last week, I had my two xolair injections and regular allergy shot. I yacked with the nurse during the xolair injections but when she gave me that regular allergy shot WOAH BURN CITY! Quite normal LOL! Guest guest
Some does tend to leak but not drip down your arm out This will happen at time. I would not worry about it . The only thing I advise is that the medication is injected very slow it should take 15 -20 seconds to administer the drug. In my case I do tend to administer my patients injection very slow and 0 to no drug leaks out if some does its not more than 2 - 3 drops of Xolair but never dripping down their arm Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile -----Original Message----- From: " sweetliberty1776 " <laurie@...> Date: Wed, 26 Aug 2009 20:40:11 < > Subject: [ ] Xolair Injection Leaking Hi All, I know some of you have self injected in the past and are more familair with the technique. Quite normal LOL! My allergist won't let me get both on the same day. Since I'm on every other week with both, I alternate which one I get each week. It would be much more convenient of I could get them at the same time (which I did for a few months until the dr nixed it). Some techs cause me to bleed or bruise with the Xolair, some don't. Never any dripping though! Janet

Guest guest
Joanna is my nurse and I can vouch for the fact that she does administer it very slowly. I have never had any drops leak after she gives me my injection! Guest guest
Any other people get the shots in your stomach? My stomach never drips. Doesn't bother me at all. Guest guest
i do get occassional leakage - usually on my legs. its not much, and certainly not dripping down my leg (i self-shoot at the drs office). i mentioned it to my dr and as i recall, she said the problem could be i'm not shooting it into an area that has enough fat (hard to believe!!). my legs bleed about 50% of the time, but i'm guessing its b/c i'm hitting a somewhat hidden varicose vein. i don't even inject into my arms - i find it very awkward. i get 3 shots every 2 weeks and i rotate b/w both thighs and both sides of my stomach (left/right thigh and left/right side of stomach), so each time i get my xolair, one spot gets a break. do you only get your xolair in your arms? maybe look for a fattier part? or ask the nurse to inject more towards the bottom of your arm where its typically meatier?? good luck! heather > > Hi All, > > I know some of you have self injected in the past and are more familair with the technique. Guest guest
The nurse is always in a hurry and injects my arms in about 5 seconds each. She tells me she has a strong thumb from giving Xolair injections. One or two drops might run down my arms on occasions. That's all. > > > From: joannnana@... <joannnana@...> > Subject: Re: [ ] Xolair Injection Leaking > > Date: Wednesday, August 26, 2009, 4:23 PM > > > > > > > Some does tend to leak but not drip down your arm out This will happen at time.
