Hi,

They were doing phase II and III trials in Montreal. The sample sizes are tiny

(eg 16 people!) and no one knows the long term effects of burning lung tissue.

They actually did not include any severe asthmatics (ppl on pred, xolair) in the

studies so I didn't qualify. It also involves three bronchoscopies that are

about as fun as a root canal (in my humble opinion).

Do we know anyone who actually participated in the studies??

C

I thought the group may be interested in a new " treatment " awaiting FDA

approval, possibly December 2009 or January 2010.

The initial study indicates a high rate of success. Three recipients of the

procedure that I spoke with got off all meds and are participating in marathons.
