Guest guest
Joyce, My reprimand, if your referring to my reprimand, was about a posting that discussed only envelope stuffing as a way to make money. It was not from Sandy. There was nothing in it relating to CFS at all. Just my 2 cents. Steve B. What exactly " loose your stance " means? > > > > All right I am doing the brain check. Guest guest
a, You were thrilled to read the post from " Ms. Myalgia " about the income potential of envelope stuffing? Steve B. Just my two cents (literally). > Thanks again Sandy!! > Joyce Actually, I thought it was a good message. The problem is that is was not a message that fits with the purpose of *this* list, i.e., experimental CFS/FM treatments. Christie has stated that she is not actively monitoring messages, and that is why I made some comments re moderators. In the past, it has been acceptable to make an off topic post that is related to CFS/FM as long as it doesn't lead to a lenghty thread. However, with the list growing as fast as it is, there should be a set policy re these kind of messages so everyone will know what is acceptable. See, six off topic messages now (if you include this one). The point isn't whether someone 'likes' a message or not, the point is if it fits with the purpose of the list. The list rules could always be changed, but we have talked about that before and there are many other support lists. THis one, IMO, should be about medical txs. Guest guest
Hi Steve! Actually, I also appreciated the note from " Ms. Myalgia, " regarding the income potential of envelope stuffing. It is unfortunate that there have been complaints about the " chatty " style of some posts. I suspect that we are missing out on some good information, because of these complaints. I have found that good information is included in these type of posts and will often stimulate the thoughts and experiences of others within the group. I have even appreciated the recent posts where people were venting, as it does not make me feel not so isolated with this illness knowing that others are not getting the help that they need to deal with this illness. It is a sad but true saying, " Misery loves company. " ;-) LOL For those people who are having trouble with the number of posts from this list, they may find it helpful to be on the digest mode where they can just scan the messages and read the ones that are of interest to them. Guest guest
I apologize about the confusion! I did not mean to imply that this message was off topic. This message IS ON topic as far as I'm concerned. Glen mentions below that he has ideas and sources that are off topic. I simply wanted to remind everyone that there is an off topic list if you want to have off topic discussions with your Lyme Aid friends. This would be a perfect place for Glen to share his off topic ideas and sources with others if he wants to. It's also a great place for everyone to get the chance to discuss topics that do not concern Lyme disease. Politics, religion, jokes and any other topic that doesn't belong on Lyme Aid are welcome on Lyme Aid Off Topic. Please check it out if you're interested. =) Robynn Re: [ ] Re: The Wounded Healer : WOW - you sound like a really interesting person!! I have read both of these books and I agree that they are very helpful. I have a masters in the arts (Musicology) and in Theology (M. Div.). I will tell you that I have received immense help from the writings of G. I. Gurdjieff and pupils (Ouspenski, etc.) and especially Maurice Nicoll who in turn helped me to understand the writings of Swedenborg. I mention all of this because through these influences I eventually discovered Eastern Orthodox Christianity which now is my main Spiritual nourishment. (There are also many more related ideas and sources that I won't bother with in this post as it is too far off topic!) Thank you for the information on Nouwen and Sandford! Glen Wolfsen burg, NJ. Guest guest
Good morning, I'm so glad that everyone on this board is having a number of pleasant, helpful interchanges. That's GREAT! I would like you all to remember that this board is for discussions about Xolair, primarily, although we normally allow discussions about other topics directly related to allergies or asthma. If you want to send a message to a member about a topic that is not related to Xolair, allergies, or asthma, please send your message to that member directly via email. Thank you, Addy Group Co-owner
