Guest guest
I got my blood work test results in the mail today and I have a question, and no I didn't call the Doctor to go over them w/ her. I recently did about 8-9 days of intestinal cleanse #2 and a few days after the cleanse for about a week I got really crappy feeling, sick like. Every nerve in my body one day (the worst day) was on edge I couldn't move w/o them flairing up, my joints ached, I had a fever of 102 degrees, and my glands, I forget what they are called there under our armpits and around our pubic region ??? anyway the ones around my female spot flaired up and were extremely sore, swollen etc. Well I went to the doctor because I was worried and wanted to rule out whatever. My blood came back as 'very healthy' says in the comments section. My fasting glucose-95 cholesterol-187 triglycerides-41 HDL/good-49 LDL/bad-130 (to the left of that line she wrote in <150) ???? The concern on the paper were my Ferritin (iron stores)- just says low for women, but also commented that I am not anemic. How do I get ferritin besides taking a pill. I juice alot of vegis daily, lots of green ones and add total nutrition as well. I have always had problems w/ anemia and now I know that that is goingto be an ongoing thing for me. And I also know it is the reason I feel crappy at times in my life. I don't necessarily think that is the main reason for getting ill feeling after the intestinal cleanse because on another sight :0 someone was talking about how cleansing will cause a person to rid the body of the crap and make for a sickly ending to the cleanse. I do beleive that is the cheif reason for this and am not worried about that now that I know. I am needing feedback on the ferritin. Thanx, Pam
Guest guest
Hi Pam, Ferritin is the protein that our bodies use to store iron when we have extra. This is a buffer for our blood when we lose blood. This supplies the iron for our hemoglobin. You don't get ferritin because that is a protein your body makes to store Iron in. What this means is that you are probably low on iron. If you have a heavy menstrual flow this can account for a low iron count as can gastrointestinal bleeding. Then again you might just be low on iron. This is where eating vegetables high in iron can help as well as taking the Organic Iron supplement found in the files. Yes doing cleanses will turn on healing crisises (sp.) but you should be feeling better at the end of the cleanse and not worse. If you are feeling fine then don't worry too much about it, but eating more foods high in organic iron won't hurt you. Hope I answered your question? Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
Pam- I healing crisis is quite common. When I did an intestinal cleanse, I felt like I had the flu for a few days....When I get a healing reaction, I up my distilled water intake, take hot/cold showers (3 min hot, 1 min cold completing 3 cycles ending on cold) and also an epsom salt bath can help.....Also dry skin brushing is something to look into.... http://www.racingsmarter.com/skin_brushing.htm http://healingtools.tripod.com/skinbrush.html For low iron, take a mixture called panther piss (1 part Apple cider vinegar and 1 part organic black strap mollasses). I mix these up in a jar and take 2 tablespoons twice a day... Nice job on the cleanse. I think the hardest hurdle when doing a cleanse is understanding that a healing crisis (feeling crappy, etc...) is a good thing... Good luck...let us know if you have any questions..
