Guest guest
Zyflo is a leukotriene inhibitor--like singulair. Very different mechanism from Xolair. I was on zyflo pre-xolair in combination with singulair and may have received some benefit from the combination for a short time, but not a lasting one. andyandkarink wrote: > > > My Pulmo was considering me for Xolair but has decided to try me with > Zyflo CR(Zileuton) first. Guest guest
Thanks for your response. He put me on Singulair also. Also wants me to continue my Advair 500/50. Wants to try this for three months. If no change in my FEV1 we will go to Xolair. I spent 6 weeks in Denver at Natl. Jewish 10 years ago and they concluded that Singulair did nothing for my type of " severe asmtha " . So I am a bit frustrated with going this route but my Pulmo says that was 10 yrs ago. Guess I'll just try to be patient and time will tell. -- In , steven miller <smiller@...> wrote: > > Zyflo is a leukotriene inhibitor--like singulair. Very different > mechanism from Xolair. Guest guest
I tried Zyflo for about 6 weeks. Surprisingly, I developed a rash/red marks around my calves and ankles. I was moved onto Xolair at that point. Mike McBride " Failure is not fatal unless you quit; getting knocked down is not embarrassing unless you allow it to keep you down. Guest guest
Hi: I have been getting Xolair shots for six years, I have also been taking Zyflo for six years. I think your doctors correct in trying the Zyflo first.
