Guest guest
Sadly, it will not change a thing. Roche is after their cancer research. But, Xolair represents one of the few drugs that Gennetech owns who's patent was extended and will not expire before I am too old to care. They see it as a big money maker for them, even though many doctors will not prescribe it ( too expensive and too tedious to monitor patients). The payment support should remain as one, they need to get exposure for the drug and, two, the government will likely pressure them to make it more accessible to people who benefit from it. > > I saw this in the morning news and thought it interesting since Genentech produces Xolair. I doubt that much will change as far as Xolair itself is concerned. What I will be watching is if/how the Xolair payment support changes. > > http://news./s/nm/20090312/ts_nm/us_roche_genentech_11 > > > Mike McB >
Guest guest
How about we wait and see, before we " jump " to any more conclusions about this PENDING purchase of Genentec. Especially since Xolair is CO-Owned AND Produced by Genentec AND Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. Guest guest
I'm hoping that the Access to Care Foundation isn't changed or taken away completely. That would harm a lot of people. We'll have to wait and see. > > > > > > I saw this in the morning news and thought it interesting since Genentech produces Xolair. I doubt that much will change as far as Xolair itself is concerned.
