Speaking of the cloud, I used your post to send to the correct address.? I meant

to delete your question from my post.? I didn't mean to discount your sinus

infection and the misery it's causing you. Sorry.

p.s. I don't know what's up with AOL and the question marks they keep putting in

my messages.

I have noticed that some days are better that others as far as clarity of

thought and follow through.? Any thoughts or methods to battle the " cloud " ?

Good morning,

Since it's off topic weekend and I have sinus infection,

I thought I'd ask anew what home remedies and palliative

care some of you are using when you have sinus infections

or episodes. Anything to lessen the misery!

Funny that you should mention that....I have battled this issue for years and

don't have a good answer.  I still battle it from time to time...some days it is

like I am in a fog (like you say the mind is cloudy) and I have to consciously,

deliberately make myself concentrate, particularly when I am driving...I seem to

notice it more then, probably because I need to concentrate more then.  Since I

am retired, I only notice the " foggy " mind when I have to do something that

requires concentration.  Maybe someone else has a better answer--I just have to

say to myself, " okay, I need to really make myself concentrate on my driving "

(or whatever I am doing that requires a great deal of mental accuity.)

I have also wondered if it doesn't have something to do with the

breathing--maybe less oxygen getting to the brain?  Just a guess.  I have found

that it does help some to do some deep breathing exercises.....

I still haven't figured that one out.

Related: I've spent a year and a half trying to convince a friend

to get her 9 year old daughter tested for allergies b/c the daughter

has frequent headaches, complains of being tired, and sometimes

has difficulty concentrating (the fog thing). " But she's not congested.... "

FINALLY making progress but only b/c daughter's symptoms are getting

worse....
