Guest guest
I'm all for affirmative action, but not to where it boxes people in. When I applied for my last job, one of the options was to mark disabled, and I purposely chose no. It doesn't eliminate the chance for accommodations, and doesn't relieve the employer from making any necessary ones. To be honest, if my grad school application has that box on there (presuming it's in the optional category), I won't check it. I most of the time will not check the optional race or gender questions, because I want my application to be " blind " until I either get accepted or get invited for an interview. Affirmative action is good, but quotas and boxing people in are bad parts of it.
