Most of the pharmaceutical companies offer some type of financial

assistance for folks in this situation. I'm assuming policies

vary by drug and manufacturer. Call the consumer services

number on the manufacturer's insert (if you don't have

one on hand, they should publish it on the drug's website).

Good luck, and let us know what you find out,

down..........it is $2200 a month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A MONTH. The insurance

well only pay $560 a vial and I need 2 vials.........it ends up I will still

have to pay $440 a month.............no way. I only get $720 a month from SSI

AND SSD............This is so unfair. There is help and they are referring me,

but there is no way that I will get help with all of it. Even paying $100 a

month is a financial burden.............what am I going to do? I am just sick

over this. I was so looking forward to getting this med and feeling better and

now this...............I just can not believe it. I need some major prayers here

too. Ohhhhhhhhhhh, I just can't stop crying, I don't know what to

doooooooooo...........IS anyone else in the same situation? Any suggestions?

Will the company cover all the co pay? oh dear Jan

I have had wonderful luck getting xolair covered when I lost my health insurance

from my job. My company went out of business and I only had cobra for 3 months.

My new insurance that I am getting through the state of land was the only

insurance I could get because other pre-existing conditions. I have a 500

deductible and that was covered along with the majority of the cost of the

xolair.

I got this out of order - weird. My insurance changed and I went from

NO copayment to a $350 a month one. ACK! I got a Xolair debit card,

which would pay $1500 towards copayments in a year. I just got a

call the other day that I can now get a 90 day supply (6 injections of

3 vials each, so 18 vials) for $100. I don't know exactly how they

decided that, but I am very grateful! I wish you luck.

Janice, call Novartis. I think they have a program to cover additional costs.

I'm getting 6 shots a month and still had a shut down episode that started

August 12th and I'm still getting over it. Back on Pred and so far three

different antibiotics. Good luck - my prayers are with you.

Since they called late on Fri I do not expect to hear from them til sometime on

Mon. I just decided not to worry about it, stress is not good for the asthma or

the fibro and does little good. I will keep in mind all your suggestions in case

the word is not good. I went to my daughters last night, She is a smoker and she

has a dog, well let me tell you I did suffer. I haven't been there in a while

and didn't realize just how much I am bothered by that. My 2 dogs do not bother

me, they are bichons. Maybe I have developed a tolerance to them.

I assume each vial is one shot? She did say I would have 2 vials twice a

month......... am I right?

Thank you for all your help. Jan

I haven't read through all of the responses but a while back I got caught in a

big fight with BCBS and I was able to receive the medication at no charge from

Access Solutions until BCBS finally saw the light.  Follow this link and fill

out the application.  Since you are on SSI/SSD you should have little trouble

getting approved (below 100k cut off).
