WOW. I am so sorry to hear you have a new health issue.

I cannot remember anyone posting having a new heart issue since

starting Xolair. I would have your specialist call Genentech and

inquire if they have any information and/or a reporting system you

can enroll in.

That said, it's probably not the Xolair that caused the PE.

I would encourage your cardio to call your asthma doc and/or anyone

else he wants to consult with about this (National Jewish Research

Center comes to mind - they do a lot of consulting like this and they

were involved in the xolair clinical trials.

Good luck, and please do let us know what your cardiologist says.

Hi Kathy, my first thought is " churg-strauss syndrome " , was this

tested for or suspected ? It can present as adult-onset asthma w/

history of allergies, pneumonia, and progress to pericardial

effusion. In my case its suspected as I have high levels of

eosinophils in blood tests along with adult onset asthma and other
