Hi all,

I think LPA far too long has taken the middle road on

things, all about appeasing the members.

I think it's about time LPA starts to take a stand on

issues that effect the dwarf community. LPA boldly

needs to say:

LPA is AGAINST or FOR Limb Lengthening

LPA is AGAINST or FOR Genetic Engineering

LPA is AGAINST or FOR Radio City

Not this " ya well, um sure, ya know, maybe, depending,

ya ummmmmm... "

Ya, some people will get ticked off, sorry! This is an

advocacy organization, what do we advocate? We can't

even agree on the top 3 issues. Other organizations

have a firm stand on what they are for and against,

why can't we? What is more important, collecting

members trying to make everyone happy and not

advancing, or taking a stand for once which may make a

few members leave?

So yes, Davey is boldly putting his position out there

on Radio City, good for him because a lot of you and

in LPA are thinking the same thing but don't have the

guts to say it in public. Do I think Radio City is the

worst thing in the world? No, not at all, Do I think

they should be advertising at the conference? NO I do

not think it is appropriate to be there. Yes some of

my friends do Radio City and yes that is there

personal right which I do respect, however when it

comes to LPA as a whole, it can't be personal, it

needs to look at the good of the community. Yes people

can do whatever they want, if Radio City floats your

boat then do it, however I don't think LPA should

support it, that does not mean though people that do

it are not welcome.

It's like me being Catholic, I don't agree 100% on all

their issues, would I quit the church or being

Catholic though? No

P.S. As far as Disney, I was looking into doing an

internship there and still might, NO I would not be

dressed as an elf, I'd more than likely end up working

at one of the resorts.

- who is AGAINST limb lengthening, Genetic

Engineering, and Radio City ADVERTISING at

conferences!
