Guest guest
Isn't insurance fun! My pulmo put in an order for a portable nebulizer and my insurance sent me a letter stating that they wouldn't cover it because I have an old dinosaur of a nebulizer already. Well, if I develop a real problem while I'm out in the world, they better hope I'm closer to home than the hospital. My husband has actually called an end to an outing, so he could take me home to neb. The day I end up in the ER is going to cost them way more than the portable nebulizer! I guess I shouldn't complain though, since I have no Xolair co-pay. Breathe easy, > > I know that a lot of you are not as fortunate as I am when it comes to insurance and Xolair but I still have my fun (yea right) with coverage. > > My wife took another job 3 months ago with an awesome insurance and drug coverage. This means that I now have a secondary insurance that pays the co pays for everything my insurance won't pay including my drugs. > > Well, to get the xolair co pay covered with my secondary, the nurse at my allergist's office she had to do cartwheels and bend over backwards to finally get it pre-certified. Great eh? Not exactly. > > To be covered with my wife's (my secondary) insurance I can only file a one month supply. With MY (primary) insurance I can ONLY order it in a 3 month supply. > > Well the secondary won't pay for a 3 month supply. So I am stuck with the co pay even though xolair has been pre certified and covered through both plans. It figures! Stoopid red tape!!! > > Xolair is the ONLY drug I HAVE that I am required to get it in a 3 months supply. All the rest are covered. I am on much stuff I could buy out a pharmacy > > I guess I can live with a xolair deductible 150.00 every 3 months. > > ahhhh yes, insurance fun! > > Doug > Group founder > On Xolair since September 2003 >

Guest guest
Don't sweat it. Just buy a nebulizer off e-bay. They are half the price of the ones you get from the medical suppliers and the same nebulizer. The same goes for the spacers.. half the price same product. --- Dharm > > > > > > I know that a lot of you are not as fortunate as I am when it comes to insurance and Xolair but I still have my fun (yea right) with coverage. > > > > > > My wife took another job 3 months ago with an awesome insurance and drug coverage. Guest guest
I got the Omron MicroAir off the internet. It operates with AA batteries, so you don't have to worry about finding a special kind of battery if the batteries go out.
