Guest guest
Well, at least he's consistent. Not a pleasant consistency but better to know the creep as the creep he is. Or rather, heartless ^ & %^$%$(*. Terri [ ] FYI Dear Parents, It has been brought to our attention that Senator Frist has pulled out of negotiations with a coalition of democratic senate offices that have been working hard with him in good faith. It is once again very apparent that Senator Frist is a devious person that does not care at all about our children. In the past 24 hours, it has been either suggested or insinuated by Senator Frist and his staffers that: 1) Parents are simply in this for the money. We saw an opportunity (after the FDA released a letter in 1999 stating that mercury was used in vaccines) to jump on the bandwagon. 2) Many of our lawsuits are frivolous and unnecessary. 3) We're going to wipe out drug companies. 4) We had an opportunity to file in VICA and we blew it. 5) We are exploiting the system. 6) All of us are pretty much crazy. Now, if you live in the general vicinity of Washington DC, you are desperately needed at the markup tomorrow. This is where the democrats' amendments will be introduced. We need parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, co-workers, anyone you can bring, PLEASE go there tomorrow to support the democrats and represent the autism community. YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE. The address is 430 Dirksen Building on the Senate side of the Capitol. It starts at 10:00, but you'll need to get in line by 9:00. Once this bill is introduced in the senate, we anticipate an aggressive floor fight. Please know that there are politicians who are looking out for us and want all of our children to be covered regardless of age. We'll need to support them as we continue this fight. Thanks to everyone and God bless. , Lori, April, and Jo
Guest guest
Exactly! DOC band simply has an advantage because of the way the company happens to be set up. Because Cranial Tech has branches and not franchises, there is more consistency. Chances are that a baby with plagio being treated at the CT in Dallas would be treated exactly the same way in Oak Brook. This is why there are blanket statements made about the DOC band. It's also why blanket statements can't be made about the Star-band. It's just set up differently. There are Star-band orthotists that aren't that great, and then there are some that are outstanding! There are DOC-bands, local helmets, specific Star-bands orthotists, etc. that are equally effective! The actually effectiveness of the bands may be different depending on the child's age, parental compliance, etc. Every person's options are going to have to be compared and that is going to be different for everyone based on circumstances! Too many times apples are being compared to oranges. Guest guest
Kudos to you - well said, once again. Rhonda Collin/DOC*/14wks@7mos/NJ "Look up, and not down; Out and not in; Forward and not back; And lend a hand." - Everett Hale (1822-1909) -----Original Message-----From: Sponagle [mailto:sponagle2003@...] Sent: Thursday, October 23, 2003 9:10 AMPlagiocephaly Subject: FYIThere are no guarantees attached with any product on the market that will result in a perfect head shape. Certain products have better quality control and a more consistent product. However, the product itself is only part of the equation.Whatever product that is chosen must be in the hands of a qualified technician. The best product in the world will yield little results in the hands of inexperience. The same can be said with experience and a poor product. The two go hand in hand. The two major manufacturers have advanced their technology over the past few years with scanning or digitizing technology but let's not forget that the moulding principle has not changed. The helmets are designed to hold areas in check and voided areas to allow for growth. Many independent helmet suppliers follow these very same theories and can achieve wonderful results. However, there is more that needs to be considered than the helmet and the technician. Treatment results vary for many reasons and are not necessarily the fault of the product or the technician. One factor that is overlooked is the age of the child when treatment is started. A child will most likely receive better results if the banding process begins at 4 months of age vs. 8 months or older simply because every helmet on the market relies on growth for improvements. Without growth, no improvement........There are no studies available at this time to determine how much improvement is lost when a child starts the banding process later than the optimal age period of 4-6 months, however, it could be assumed that it would be less. However, skull bones are growing all the time but growth spurts are sporadic and child specific. That is why some children show greater results at 8 months than others. No two children react exactly the same. The key with the banding process is to capture these growth spurts.Something else that is overlooked is parental compliance. 23 hours a day is just that 23 hours a day...........Another point is sleep position even after banding...........it is still important to adhere to a varied sleep position, this can yield even more results. This goes hand in hand with minimal time in car seats , etc........I am sure that there are many factors that I omitted but the severity plays a key role. Mild-moderate may require less time to correct and may be more apt to correct with banding at 8 months, however, the more severe the earlier the banding process should start.I am not anti DOC nor am I anti-Starband or Pro-independent. I am however, pro-banding when necessary. It should be noted that an Orthotist can have experience with the typical plagiocephalic head shape but not have a clue how to treat Brachycephaly or Scaphocephaly.......Please ensure that if your child is diagnosed with these specific head shapes to discuss this with your technician........I will say that the major manufacturers have a step-up with regards to treating these two specific conditions. The theory is the same but in these cases the product itself plays a key role.........SponagleFor more plagio info

Guest guest
Hello Everyone, Been reading all my gallstone e-mails faithfully over the past year. Thanks to allfor the info that passes this way. I did my 3rd flush yesterday... not sure of the results yet since I didn't screen the output. This flush was necessitated by back and right shoulder pain (discomfort) and I followed the Hulda formula religiously and even prepped some in the days preceding. My first flush seemed very successful. My second, well, I broke the rules, ate something, and could tell it was not as successful as the 1st. During my most recent flush I noticed that I wasn't getting that gall bladder squishing-squirt sounds at night after the OO mixture and usually after the 1st cup of grapefruit and epson salt I get the runs, but this did not occur... so my system must be slow these days. Had a decent BM after 2nd GFJ and ES, but I wasn't running to the bathroom or anything after that, like with previous flushes. This morning had the squirts BM's, but not as much as during my 1st flush. Shoulder pain has subsided some, but I still have the lower back pain: tolerable. Also notice that my right should also clicks at times with movement. With all the prep and religious adherence to the flush formula, I was hopeful for better results. I do have a confirmed 11mm gallstone that was diagnosed 1-2 years ago. This was my 3rd flush in almost a year. I have no trouble getting down the formulas, etc. Had some fruit later this morning and am now starting to drink some water to re-hydrate myself. I hope as the days progress I will notice some improvement in the aches and pains. I do believe inthe flush but, in my case, more and frequent flushes seem inevitable. Thanks. Guest guest
I have done at least 7 of them and many are not that successful in getting out a lot of stones---but the pain does go away and that seems to be a huge help. The digestive enzymes really help me a great deal. I also feel digesting food more efficiently will produce less stones in the future so they are a must. I had acid relux a few years ago which does indicate I was producing too little acid to digest foods. Thus the future GB problems. There is always a reason why we have this extra fat stored in the GB- -high lipid levels is also an indication. My numbers are very low in this area but with poor digestion the fat would not be broken up regardless of how little I intake. So it is necessary to evaulate your lipid profile---get correct liver tests as well. A CBC--complete blood count will help you figure out how you are doing. Seeing my liver enzyme number dropped kept me doing more flushes!!!!!! AST and ALT numbers here http://www.labtestsonline.org/ http://labtestsonline.org/understanding/conditions/liver_disease- 2.html The whites of your eyes is also a good indication that the flushes are working!!!!! they should not be as yellow as before-- So even though you are not seeing a lot of stones you can be still cleaning out a lot of matter. So keep going--I am into this over a year now and have been improving--but changeing diet I feel is a must!!!!!!!!!! For me being Italian--we ate way too much cheese!!!!!! and meat is a problem as well. fyi---tina > > Hello Everyone, > > Been reading all my gallstone e-mails faithfully over the past year. Guest guest
What is the nature of your brain injury? Is it mold related? I ask because I have toxic encephalopathy, acquired in a severely mold contaminated apartment. It has cost me my ability to safely drive a car ergo, all my independence not to mention clarity of thought. Besides the typos and spelling problems, your intelligence seems to be clearly intact. Visual disturbances and " floaters " are common with mold exposure and may in part explain some of the typing/spelling errors.
