OOPS, forgot to mention that my CPAP machine has a humidifier on it so I get

fresh clean humidified air all night long through my nose.

Even if you don't have sleep apnea like I do, you might want to ask your ENT to

prescribe one just to help your sinuses.

Ok, I am getting a little of topic here and this will be my last post about

things other than xolair :)

I use a product called Ponaris drops to help keep my sinuses clear. Xolair has

helped my sinus problems a great deal but I find this lubricant helps keep the

tissue in my sinuses moist and clear. It's really great stuff. Link below.

Sir, the product you recommend contains oils & lipids. I would recommend against

such use as it is generally accepted that products like this, including Vick's

Vapor Rub, when applied directly to the nares or inside the nasal passages may

either be aerosolized to, or the liquid itself may deposit in the lungs and

cause conditions called lipid pneumonia, lipoid pneumonia, or lipid pneumonitis.

These are particularly difficult to treat. Being that the product you are

endorsing is a liquid, suggests that the chances of said complications are even

greater.

Chiming in:  I've had 5 sinus surguries and can no longer adequately produce

moisture in my sinuses.  As a result I left a very cold/dry area of Alaska for

the warm/moist air of South Carolina.  I had been using Ponaris but lived

without it for 2 years.  What I gained was a move from very mild asthma to

moderate/severe whcih led to Xoalir (on topic now?).  I am back in Alaska and

use Ponaris along with my CPAP for the humidity.  This is what the Dr

prescribed.  It has been working fairly well for me.  The mileage of others may

vary.
