Guest guest
We tried to get vonage, were in the process of changing all the numbers, etc. and it was just awful trying to connect it! Multiple phone calls and 2 weeks after receiving their router, we still didn't have vonage service. We finally said the heck with it, and reverted to our regular phone. Does anyone use Vonage for you home phone? If so how do you like it, sound quality and such? M!ke Lancaster ===
Guest guest
We use vonage and it's great!! Hook up the router, which you can get at Curcit City, plug in your phone and you're ready to go. We've had it since moving to Las Vegas and are quite happy with it. We've had no reduction in quality of sound, we can check our messages on the computer and check our billing up to the minute. We only 29 dolars and some odd cents per month for all US and Canadian calls. Vonage has services we don't even use for free. I highly recomend it. Guest guest
I use Time-Warner Digital Phone. It is a similar but I feel better service. You get to keep the same number you had before wherever they offer service. *Vonage can't do that everywhere they offer service* All the phone jacks you have will work with it *not just the phone hooked to the phone modem.*, It works over a private local network and then goes on Sprints hardlines if you are calling a non DP user or someone out of town*Vonage uses the public internet, and your call could bounce around the internet to two or three different countries before reaching your destination and loosing packets along the way. Loosing packets lowers the sound quality* You have E-911 service from the start. 911 will know your location and all. *Vonage needs you to tell them you want 911 service started and where it should go. Even then, it may go to a non-emergency/ business line at a police department.* http://news.com.com/Deadly +delay+on+Vonage+911/2100-1037_3-5700493.html Installation is free... modem is included. If your modem breaks... you get a new one free... service calls are free... *Vonage, you are on your own...* Dave On Feb 8, 2006, at 10:06 AM, Mike Lancaster wrote: > Does anyone use Vonage for you home phone?
