off work every other week to travel 200 miles each time.

is there an infusion center closeby?

can you get it delivered to your home, mix it and then take it to your's

doctor's office for injection?

do you know a nurse who could do it for you?

can you talk to you doctor about some kind of " arrangement " where you would mix

it at his office and somebody there could inject you?

ask friends, relatives, reverends, etc. if they know any nurses?

Hi,

I have a similar situation, my pulmo/allergist who prescribes my Xolair is

about 1.5hrs away, and going to him every 2 weeks is not practical. So, I have

the Xolair delivered to my home (you have to assure the specialty pharmacy

you're not self-injecting) mix the Xolair at my house (it's not hard) and bring

it to my primary's office to inject me. My primary's office is more than willing

to do it as long as I have it pre-mixed - I go in every 2 wks., get injected by

one of the NP's and am on my way again. It all works out very nicely. Now I am

the only patient (I asked) that receives Xolair in that office but they do

things like this with people's Osteoporosis meds and stuff. I hope this helps.
