Guest guest
Hi: As you can see from my post in January, 2009........I too questioned Novartis and GenTech regarding stroke possibilities. They said they had no record. Please contact them and let them know about your stroke. If more people are telling them that there might be a possibility that Xolair is causing strokes, maybe they might investigate further. Please let me know how you make out. I posted a group repy as well. There is another person that posted in January 2009. Ask our group leader Doug to find all postings on neurologic problems or stroke problems and he will send you the postings. Barbara Dery This is the post from January 2009 that I did: On Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 4:45 PM, arbarj2 <arbarj2@...> wrote: On 9/17/07 I had a stroke that affected only my eyesight. I am somewhat recovered from the stroke with some residual side effects. I still am missing some of the vision in both eyes. I was put on coumadin (blood thinners) after this stroke and continue the medication still today. During a routine eye exam with a visual field test in December, 2008, I was informed that I had another stroke. To confirm the stoke, I had additional visual field tests with a neuro-optomalogist. The doctors are not sure why I had an additional stroke, but I am starting to investigate any and all medications that I am taking for other side effects maybe not published, but incidences are happening. I would appreciate hearing from others regarding stroke victims who use Xolair. Thanks
