Guest guest
-- I think some people have naso-pulmonary disease and also lame nasal cilia and not sure if squirting saline up there is the best idea. I also try to keep my head down over a towel or a very clean sink post Sinus Rinse because the saline seems to loosen the mucus. I won't go into the particulars. One patient told me that her doctor told her to drain for ten minutes post Sinus Rinse/neti pot treatments. I am tired of all it frankly. Mucinex et al i'll have to check out teh CVS brand once my HUGE (costco sized) bottle of mucinex runs out. i'll have to start taking notice on the spoo-sinus rinse connection. thinking about it, i don't have as much mucus today, and i forgot to rinse this morning. (mondays are SO hard!!) i feel like a ticking timebomb, just waiting for the spoo to head south! thanks for the CVS tip! heather --- In , Leigh McCall-Alton <mccallalton@ ...> wrote: > > I experience the same thing--the worst thick nasal junk which I constantly have to " hock " out of my throat but mine does migrate to the lungs, etc. > I do take generic CVS guisenophen which is immediately released unlike Mucinex. Guest guest
How is mucinex supposed to help the asthma that seems to result from sinus drainage? Does thinning the drainage help? All my asthma attacks have been accompanied by drainage. The sinus rinse helps some.
Guest guest
Mucinex works ok for me...I'd rather have a cup of warm tea with honey and lemon! Has anyone tried Ora's Organic teas?! They are SOOOOOOOO unbelievably good! ________________________________ From: pyle456 <jamcculloch2@...> Sent: Sat, November 7, 2009 5:04:38 PM Subject: [ ] Re: OT - congestion??? Mucinex et al Mucinex thins mucus, always a good thing b/c it keeps it moving and less likely to stick around and get infected. Guest guest
I am getting braver about trying a variety of teas. I love hot tea and have started drinking more of it....but I usually drink more hot tea in cold weather anyway.... From: pyle456 <jamcculloch2@...> Subject: [ ] Re: OT - congestion??? Mucinex et al Date: Saturday, November 7, 2009, 4:53 PM  I'll look for those. I like Tazo Chai tea with a little sugar, cinnamon, and milk. Also Tazo Zen, without any sweetener or milk. Tazo Chai's got herbs in it, and it's pretty good for bringing up gunk. Guest guest
I like Tazo, too. Ever have their ginger tea? Tastes like you are drinking a ginger snap cookie. ________________________________ From: pyle456 <jamcculloch2@...> Sent: Sat, November 7, 2009 5:53:52 PM Subject: [ ] Re: OT - congestion???
