Guest guest
my daughter has been on xolair since may 09. she has asthma but was put on xolair off label for severe skin allergies/hives. The xolair was helping her asthma but not skin so her derm. decided to put her on cyclosporin. Her allergist(xolair doc) wanted her to wait another month but because of her skin severity she cant wait. The allergist seemed a bit miffed and said he wont keep her on xolair if she goes on the cyclo. and his reason is becasue we wouldnt know which was working for her skin. I tried to explain this didnt matter because it was helping her asthma but he said no. and it has nothing to do with these medicines interacting becasue I found out they dont. I dont know if my daughter can go to a different dr. and get the xolair there as her allergist said he was calling xolair to tell them my daughter is no longer getting the shots. this post is more of a vent than any question..it just ticks me off that this allergist is doing this..I wonder if it is a matter of his pride or the fact that I had mention she would be off my insurance in March. aahhh some doctors
