Hello all,

Ron Piro, Chair of the LPA National Election Committee asked me to

post the following notice on the various dwarfism lists. Ron can be

emailed at: ronpiro@....

[being message]

The next national election ballot will be in the spring of 2008. With

recent amendments to the Bylaws, both announcements for national

office and proposed Bylaw amendments must be received by the National

Election Committee 120 days before the start of the national

conference. With the Detroit conference formally starting on Monday,

June 23, 2008, this sets the deadline at Sunday, February 24, 2008.

Please try to alert us to your intentions as early as possible before

the deadline, so we can make sure we have everything in order.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Ron Piro

To add to this notice, I would like to encourage any LPA member who is

eligible (currently a paid member who has been a consecutive paid

member for the last three years), to consider running for a national

office. The positions are: President, Sr. Vice President, VP of

Finance, VP of Membership, VP of PR, and VP of Programs. While I

believe our executive committee is one of the strongest, most stable,

and effective we've had in years, a volunteer organization is only as

strong as the people willing to serve, and willing to run for office.

The more candidates and the more choices we have, the better.

Elections ballots will be sent out with the spring LPA Today.

LPA VP of Programs
