Guest guest
Hi Terry: How do you accomplish that? I will be going over to Medicare maybe next year, and that's my big worry. Guest guest
Carol - I wish I could tell you, but I dunno. One day, my pulmo checked my iggies and said, " yea verily, you is at 900 - thee is a perfect candidate for this magic potion, Xolair, and the gods of Medicare and BCBS will foot ye olde bill. Haul thy corpulent carcass to the hospital every two weeks for the injections - we'll take care of the details. " And that, truly, is all I know pulmo dude set it up - this was back when so many were self-injecting, which is what I wanted to do, especially with nurse/spouse, but I was told going to hosp. is only way to get freebies. Sorry I can't help. OP ----- Original Message ----- From: Carol Corley Sent: Thursday, April 01, 2010 8:21 PM Subject: [ ] Re; Health care reform/To Terry: Hi Terry: How do you accomplish that? Guest guest
Carol: When my allergist determined that I was a candidate I checked with my prescrip provider and it would have cost me more than I could afford and that was for one shot every four weeks. My allergist did not take medicare, but he sent me to an allergy research clinic who does take medicare and between medicare and my supplemental insurance, I pay nothing for my xolair. I get it at the allergy clinic. I get a statement from medicare every three months and from my supplemental insurance that shows how much is charged and how much is actually paid and if you want that info, I'll have to look back in my files as I don't have it at the tip of my fingers right now. The cost will vary depending on how many shots you get and how frequently. I'm more than satisfied with it (Medicare) - never have had a problem, and it pays for 100% of my Xolair.
